FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE:
 Functional Medicine is  research-based practice that seeks to identify the root cause of disease and sees the person as one integrated whole system.
As a Functional Medicine Coach my role is to support you achieving your health goals and struggles you may have along the way to a healthier you.  There is typically a focus on nutrition, exercise, stress, and sleep.

The Functional Medicine approach is like a garden, plants must have a solid grounding with strong roots to produce healthy leaves, flowers and fruit. Without the essentials of good nutrition, wind, sun and water to keep it strong and healthy  the plant may succumb to damaged leaves or produce no fruit or flowers. So we remove the damaged leaves but notice the next day another damaged leaf - this is removing the problem  which could be caused by poor soil, a bug eating the leaves but this temporary fix is not getting to the root of why it is damaged.   So you are like this plant - needing good nutrition, exercise, appropriate stress , and sleep to keep your body at it's healthiest.

Coaching involves working with you to develop a personalized plan for changes you wish to explore. Together, we identify and draw on your personal strengths using positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and mind/body techniques in order to:

As your functional medicine coach we explore paths to balanced health and becoming the best version of yourself. I will partner with you on your new journey to health by discovering your power to change through your personal strengths and positive psychology.
